Valor Baseball’s
College Placement Success
Valor Christian opened its doors in the fall of 2007. Since its first graduating class in 2010, the baseball program has produced a steady stream of college baseball athletes. 39 players have moved to the next level, 47% of the players who have graduated from the program. The graphic on the left illustrates all of the programs at the different levels of college baseball who have been a landing spot for our Eagles.
The Valor Christian Baseball program maintains a clear focus on the spiritual, team, and on-field development of its baseball athletes. The program intentionally partners with club organizations in Colorado and nationally in an effort to provide the best possible exposure for its athletes, while also advising in the overall development of its baseball athletes.
We have been one of the most active users on FieldLevel since the site’s inception (see placement profile below) and now utilize SportsRecruits as an athletic program as well. We’d love to connect with us through either of those portals to discuss our baseball athletes. Scroll down to view our athletes who are currently committed and uncommitted.

COMMITTED: UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII
Perfect Game says: “Ben Whipple is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Castle Pines, CO who attends Valor Christian. Extra large, broad frame. Strength in build throughout. Primary right-handed pitcher with a side step delivery into leg lift slightly above the belt. Lands in line down the mound staying balanced at the gather. Medium arm action in the back with looseness in arm circle. Works into a three-quarter arm slot. Gets on top of the ball well with body tilt and creates good angle to the plate through the bottom of the zone. Fastball will occasionally cut at 84 MPH. Creates a 12-to-6 shape on the curveball with shorter depth and tight spin. Can land the pitch for strikes and will throw in any count with confidence. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and high hand set. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Swings the bat with intent creating barrel speed. Stays on a line drive plane working the middle of the field. Can create jump of the swing while generating lift out in front. Very good student as well. Named to the 2019 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.”

Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and staying online through finish. Showed the ability to create consistent swing and miss and strike batters out looking with his two pitch mix. Threw fastball up in the zone with confidence creating a lot of empty swings. Good student. Named to the 2019 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.”
Good stuff earlier from the right arm of Wyatt Hardy (2021 CO) who was up to 90 with good life. In the zone early and landed a quality breaker; great upside. #PGFallNatChamp @PG_Uncommitted pic.twitter.com/aR2wyOAJCn

KEENAN PROCTOR - OF, CLASS OF 2022
COMMITTED: UCLA
Keenan sprung onto the scene in the spring of 2019 becoming the Varsity’s starting CF as a freshman. His speed and his exceptional feel for the outfield put him in that position, along with a left-handed swing with consistent line-drive production. A multi-sport athlete, Keenan also plays wide receiver for Valor’s nationally-ranked football program. Keenan has a high upside as an outfielder and disruptive force at the top of a lineup. He will continue to develop his speed and could become a significant base-stealing threat as well.

UNCOMMITTED ATHLETES - CLASS OF 2021
BLAKE WILSON - IF, OF
Blake Wilson, a 2021 infielder with the flexibility to play outfield, is an exciting prospect. Blake possesses an electric arm (upper 80s with a low 90s run and gun), is a smooth fielder, and an impact bat in the lineup. As a coach, I’m so disappointed that he’s lost his spring season as a junior as I was fully expecting him to announce himself on to the scene and recruiting radars. Blake’s best positions are in the middle of the infield, but can also move over to third with his arm strength. As a senior, he’s running a 6.9 60-yard dash and could also make his way to the outfield, depending on a college program’s needs. Blake is incredibly dedicated in the weight room and to his craft as a player.

EVAN ROMKE - 1B, OF
Evan Romke has some awesome potential as a 2021 prospect. He’s got an easy swing that produces pop with upper 90s exit velocity. He moves smoothly and was projected to get time at 1B for us in the spring of 2020. He could also move across the diamond to third and moves well enough to move to the outfield as well.

TJ MEYN - OF
TJ Meyn is a hard-working grinder with some nice tools as a 2021 prospect. He runs well with a sub-6.8 60-yard dash and a good arm. He makes consistent contact at the plate with a low launch angle - much more of a traditional flat live-drive hitter.

BRAEDEN LOCK - RHP, 1B, OF
Perfect Game says: “Braeden Lock is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Valor Christian. Primary right-handed pitcher with a strong and athletic build. Starts delivery from the windup with a small side step and belt high leg lift. Drop and drive actions down the mound with good linear direction at foot strike, allowing for good extension over the front side. Loose arm action from a mid three-quarters slot. Creates some good downhill plane with a fastball at 76-to-79 miles per hour. Shows some feel for a curveball with 10-to-4 shape and some good depth at 70 miles per hour. Curveball can be a swing and miss pitch when in the strike zone. Does a good job of attacking hitters and forcing early contact. Secondary outfielder. Stays behind the ball and shows some athleticism in close to the ball. Developing arm strength from the outfield at 79 miles per hour. Even and upright stance at the plate with a big leg lift trigger. Controls the barrel well and has a leveraged plane at the plate. Good weight transfer, firing the hips well at the point of contact. Had a loud double down the left field line in game action, showing the ability to identify and drive the inside pitch. Good student. Named to 2019 Sunshine Midwest Showcase, Top Prospect List.”

CAMPBELL CREDEUR - OF
Campbell is a 6’ 0”, 190-pound junior with five-tool potential. He was projected to start in RF for us this spring before the season was shut down. He’s an explosive player with a maximum exit velocity between 98-100mph, a 6.5 60-yard dash, and an upper 80s arm velocity from the outfield. He’s got the potential to be an impact player at the next level and puts in the work to accomplish high goals.

Ben Leikam is a 2023 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Valor Christian. The left-hander made the Varsity roster as a freshman and now boasts a mid-80s fastball with a devastating hook. His third pitch is a split-finger that he uses as his changeup. His bat continues to develop and impress. Video from fall sessions are below.
